Congratulations to Jan Svehlik who became the IAF1GPC Champion for the first time this season, after ending up in the runner-up spot last season. Despite a relatively slow start to the season Jan, after missing 2 races, Jan was the person to beat, and won all 14 of the races he participated in. The season was tightly fought until the last few rounds where it became clear that Thomas Bodlien needed to win some races if he wanted to stay ahead in the championship battle. Bodlien was always close behind Svehlik, but that wasn't enough in the end. Yapamotox went 2 steps further than last season, where they finished third, and are the the winning constructors this season, marking the end of the Digitech era. Bolgani were runners up, but in reality had no chance of winning since they are a single driver team.

Ian Parkhouse deservedly won the Pro championship in his rookie season, with a score which was only 73 points from perfection. Mario Sarno also did well, but didn't put in enough good experiences to challenge Parkhouse. Despite that, BCR were just able to pick up the constructors' championship with the additional help of their other driver.

I doubht anybody would have bet against Kevin Walker retaining his championship title this season, and he certainly didn't disappoint. You may remember that last season he ended up 15 points short of the perfect 2080 score - amaziningly, he reached perfection this time around, by taking pole, winning, making the fastest race lap, and leading a lap in all 10 of the races that counted. Donald Millican and Paul Wilcox weren't too far behind, but they were no match for Walker's consistency. As in the Pro championship, BCR picked up the constructors' trophy - this time, by a relatively large margin.
