Qualifying

Walker came away with another victory from a fairly static race.

For the first event of the day 5 cars lined up on the Barcelona grid for the Beginner race including one new face heading the way. Ex Ace series contender Wagner Amaral made his return to the IAF1GPC and instantly made his mark, taking the pole. Championship leader Kevin Walker lined up alongside him and as the lights went out the two of them led the field away followed by a fast starting Wilcox, Radzikowski and eventually Millican who had to start from the pit lane with mechanical woes.

On the second lap Walker took the lead but on the next tour Amaral got better traction through the last corner and outdragged the GMC machine to the first corner. However a slow lap caused by a quarter spin on lap 12 allowed Walker to take back the lead and the order remained the same to the end with Walker winning by 22 seconds.
