Drivers' Championship - Constructors' Championship - Season Summary

ACE CLASS
PRO CLASS
The reigning IAF1GPC Champion, Jan Svehlik, didn't disappoint this season, winning the championship for the second year in a dominant manner. As with last season, he won 14 races, but increased his points tally record this season. Thomas Bodlien was his main competition early on in the season, but his challenge faded by mid-season, leaving teammate Steffen Diener to fight it out with Svehlik. Diener managed to finish on the podium in 11 races, impressing the paddock in his rookie season. Bolgani improved on their 2nd place of last season, to secure the constructors' championship for the first time. This year saw the closest Pro championship ever, with three main contenders battling for the lead throughout the season. After some poor races early in the season, Ian Parkhouse got things together and looked the favourite as the final race approached, with a slender lead of 9 points. However, it was Jim Spratt who came out in top at the very end, after finishing ahead of Parkhouse in the final race, gaining some critical points resulting a 3 point advantage over Parkhouse. Spratt's team, Lotus, claimed the constructors' championship, relatively comfortably.
