Selected Quotes

Jan Svehlik (Bolgani), Race winner: "A good race with a good result."

Steffen Diener (Power Tech), 2nd: "I had a good start but already a few laps later I caught a lot af traffic in the first third of the race. In the second third I lost concentration, went off the track and later smashed a frontwing in the back of a CC. In the last third I still had a lot of traffic, even though just 12 cars finished."

Ian Parkhouse (Phoenix), 3rd: "Another satisfactory race."

Darren Crawford (Corgi), 4th: "I got off to a great start, tires sticking, revs riding high, and then one small, bad calculation put me in the pits for a wing. Kept climbing my way back through the pack to never see the leader. Until, I see Shuy's red machine in the distance. With about six laps to go I doge to the inside while backmarkers had slowed Shuy down and continued to the finish. Although, I probably ended up in 5th or 6th in the real race. Had fun this race with some gutsy moves."

Jim Spratt (Lotus), 5th: "I was looking forward to this race, and I'm glad to say that I did well. Started from pole with no problems up till the 1st pit stop. However the pit-crew must've mis-threaded a wheelnut, as I lost the lead to Schumacher. However I retook the lead on lap 26, never looking back - going on to win the race. Germany should be interesting, as I've never drove there in the wet as it's a wet qualifying..."

Benjamin Suerig (Amiga Racing), 6th: "I hate this track."

Olivier Leroy (CyberSpeed), 7th: "I had a good start from the pole, and few laps later, I was in the first place, 20s ahead M. Schumacher. But the grip was very poor, so I did some faults and at the lap 15, M. Schumacher was 3s behind me. My race finished one lap later, when a Jaguar hit me, when I tried to go back on the track."
