Michal Janak showed all other drivers ho to cope with wet conditions in a
race. With more than 1:30 ahead of Oliver Roberts and Reinhold Schatzer,
you can imagine that he was never in danger of not finishing first. But
behind Michal, things were developing rapidly: Nuno Maltez, on 3rd and 2nd
position for a long time, had an accident in lap 58 and retired 2 laps
later. Marco Saupe, promising 4th until lap 64, lost 3 places after a
crash, and finally, Reinhold Schatzer who was constantly keeping Oliver
behind him for 19 of the last 20 laps, lost his position in the very last
lap of the race. Spectators were not only puzzled by the fact that Digitech
went a way with a double-victory again, but also that both drivers made a
pit-stop without the need to repair their cars.

- Ignacio Garcia Cuadrado (Curb Crawlers):
"I was in "La Rascasse" when a car appears in front of me ... but in wrong
direction !! ;-)) Ha ... I was a lucky man ;-))"
- Steffen Diener (Roadrunner):
"Last Lap: I made contact with a car at Nouvelle Chicane. The CC gets
sideways, I am trapped on the track, and about 10 cars are approching right
behind us, ready to crash into this scene."
- Michal Janak (Digitech):
"In replay you can see one of my best overtaking manoeuvres. I overtook
Irvine and Marques in one step in Nouvelle Chicane (the 1st corner behind
tunel). Try to look at it from different points, best is from Irvine's
cockpit."
