Race

Michal Janak dominated the second race of the X-mas break, too, although it was not that kind of clear as at Monaco. After the opening laps, which saw a number of drivers in the lead, Michal took over in lap 9 and secured this position until the end of the race. While it was Oliver Roberts who held the second position during the first third of the race, Marco Saupe, Mirko Patzenbein and Alan Strang were seen here later on. Mirko battled with Alan for this position after lap 50, and finally claimed it nine laps before the end of the race. But unfortunately for the Enigma driver, he fell back 3 places until the end of the race, finishing on 5th. Although Michal won the race, Alan's pole position and 2nd race position meant that he scored the same number of points (190) as the Digitech driver and both can be called the most succesfull drivers of the GP.
