Congratulations to Jan Svehlik who became the IAF1GPC Champion for the first
time this season, after ending up in the runner-up spot last season. Despite
a relatively slow start to the season Jan, after missing 2 races, Jan was
the person to beat, and won all 14 of the races he participated in. The
season was tightly fought until the last few rounds where it became clear
that Thomas Bodlien needed to win some races if he wanted to stay ahead in
the championship battle. Bodlien was always close behind Svehlik, but that
wasn't enough in the end.
Yapamotox went 2 steps further than last season, where they finished third,
and are the the winning constructors this season, marking the end of the Digitech
era. Bolgani were runners up, but in reality had no chance of winning since
they are a single driver team.
