Svehlik continues his charge up the Championship with another win in Spain.

6 cars were scheduled to start in the Ace bout in Spain but Nuno Maltez didn't make it, his car lunching it's second engine of the event in morning practice and ending his weekend. This left Svehlik alone on the front row with Hogg and Bodlien on the 2nd row.

Bodlien made the best start of all and immediately took the lead from Svehlik but the Bolgani retook him on lap 5. On lap 7 Patzenbein had a quick spin, rejoining last but taking position from Ziarnik on the next lap.

With the order quickly settling down, Hogg made the first pit stop on lap 16 with most of the others stopping between laps 19 and 22. On lap 24 Hogg retook 3rd from Ziarnik who had not stopped whilst Bodlien, who had briefly taken the lead while Svehlik pitted went off track for a moment, allowing the Bolgani back through. A spin from Hogg on lap 27 dropped the Team Ecosse to dead last while Bodlien and Ziarnik both pitted one lap later. With the pit stop allowing Hogg to get ahead of Bodlien, he soon found he was being quickly caught on worn tyres. On lap 31 Bodlien dove down the inside of the Blue and White car, his rear wheel just clipping it's front wing and knocking it askew. The necessary stop for repairs returned Hogg to last.

Lap 42 saw Patzenbein pit for fuel and tyres with Svehlik in on lap 46, both men retaining 2nd and 1st places respectively. The flood of pit stops continued with Bodlien and Ziarnik in on the very next lap.

By lap 52 Patzenbein had closed to within 5 seconds of Svehlik but he couldn't hold on and finished an eventual 18 seconds behind the Bolgani, Bodlien taking 3rd a further minute down the road.

In the Championship, Hogg retains a slender lead while Svehlik passes Bodlien for 2nd. Ziarnik moves from 7th to 5th.
